KKV Agro Powers Limited was incorporated as 'Nachas Wind Energy Private Limited' on June 05, 2012 in Coimbatore. The Company was converted from a Private Limited Company to a Public Limited Company along with change of name of the company from Nachas Wind Energy Private Limited to KKV Agro Powers Limited and in accordance with the provisions of Section 13 and other applicable provisions of the Companies Act, 2013, the Company received a fresh Certificate of Incorporation consequent to change upon its name from the Registrar of companies on 18 May 2015. The Company is an Independent power producer (IPP) and renewable power generation (RPG) company located in Coimbatore. The Company is engaged in the generation transmission, distribution of power. It has an installation capacity of 10.6 MW that includes 7.6 MW wind power and 3 MW solar power. The plants are located in the states of Tamil Nadu, which is amongst the top four Indian states with the highest wind and solar potential and offers very favorable incentives for renewable energy companies and in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
The Company is also trading REC generated from plants in IEX and PXIL through TATA Power Trading Company Limited. Now the company has brought two new divisions under its roof, i.e purification of precious metals and agriculture. The Company adopts a nature-friendly approach to wind generation by using the most advanced technology that have been sourced from experienced nations across the world. The Company has planned to commission a new solar plant in upcoming year which will add 2 MW to its operating portfolio.
The Company's objectives is to enhance or position as a leading independent renewable energy producer in India and executing strategies like enhancement of capacities, improve profitability by enhancing the efficiency and to tap into capital markets for fund raising.
During the year 2018-19, the Company issued and allotted 90,700 Fully Paid Bonus Equity Shares of Rs 10/- each on 21st July 2018 in the ratio of 1:4.
